The marks for the course are composed of an exam (50%), practicals (10%), and a volcanology report (40%). The practicals are done in the classroom and marked by the teacher. The report should be delivered at the end of March (31 March), which is somewhat after the end of the second term. The report should be delivered electronically to the course co-ordinator (Agust Gudmundsson). An extra paper copy may also be delivered, but is not needed. A detailed description of how to write the report, its length (word limit), and what it is expected to contain is given in a separate document (enclosed), entitled: GL 3460 Volcanology Project.
