Availability:
For first-year students, this course is the appropriate one to choose if you have a GCSE or AS level in Latin, or a qualification at an equivalent level.
For second- and third-year students, the Intermediate Latin course follows on from Beginners’ or Intensive Latin.
Intermediate Latin prepares you for Latin Language and Reading and/or the Latin Author Units.
Aims:
The aims of the Intermediate course are to make the transition from elementary language study to an independent reading knowledge of the language, to improve knowledge of Latin grammar and vocabulary, and to encourage an analytical approach to Latin texts in the original, preparing for more advanced study.
