19-20 MN5709: Comparative Human Resource Management

Welcome to MN5709 Comparative HRM.

This course aims to take an intellectually rigorous and critical approach to some of the major areas of international human resource management policy and practice, explaining them through comparative analysis (i.e. in terms of how they operate in different social and economic contexts), and considering their implications and impact for a range of stakeholders and interest groups. The course has both a substantive international content (centred on the analysis of MNC strategies and practices), combined with a significant comparative dimension (considering national, regional and global contexts – and how these provide both opportunities and constraints for managers).

I hope you will enjoy the course!
